Spain is a very well known country of Europe. There might not be any person who may not have heard about this beautiful country. Everybody is aware of the beautiful beaches and exotic landscapes of Spain. Spain is supposed to be one of the best tourist destinations of the world. However, the beauty and fun of Spain is not only restricted to the beaches and sights, but its amazing culture. Spain has got a great and glorified history, and it lives up to its reputation when you go there. So who would not like to live in such a place but at the same time he or she has to work there to earn a living. However, at present, the job market in Spain is going great. This factor is making Spain a place of dreams for a lot of people to achieve their dreams. The major reason for this is the balance between the wages and the cost of living, in comparison to other north European countries the wages are quite low but at the same time the cost of living is also low, which makes the overall lifestyle out there better.

If you want the same rights in the work place as a Spanish worker, then you must obtain a contract of at least six months from the person who has employed you. It is a good idea to get the terms of the contract translated in your own language if you do not understand Spanish. A person can get a temporary job for a period of 3-9 months but after the contract expires, the employer cannot put you on anymore. He can only keep you if he offers a long term contract to you as he cannot offer a short term contract anymore. Working hours in Spain are also very feasible, during work a siesta is given, which is a break of 2-3 hours during the afternoon, almost all the businesses in Spain shut down at these hours and reopens during the cooler time of the evening.

The Spanish workers are pretty laid back in their lifestyle and are never in a hurry to get things done in haste. The rights of the Spanish employees are quite heavily protected and exploitation at work place is not a common feature there. If you get dismissed from your work and at the same time you don not agree for the reasons of your dismissal, then you can demand for reimbursement or conciliation within twenty days from the date of your dismissal. In such cases, the evidence is not so much under the light but the agreement is properly scrutinized. You can approach the labour court also and if it is found that the way you were dismissed was unjust, then you will get forty five days compensation for every single year you worked.

However, those people who are from outside the European Union, getting a work permit for working in Spain can be a big hassle. This is the only drawback, if you plan to work in Spain.
