Spain is very popular for its beaches. It’s a common feature in Spain that people are lying down on beaches for the whole of the day and are just eating and drinking. However, there are different kind of people and to be precise there are different kinds of tourists all around the world. There are a lot of tourists who are here on the beaches to do the wildest of things which actually means water sports. Spain is very popular for their water sports because every kind of water sport is available in Spain. However, there is one place which has done exceptionally well when it comes to water sports, its name is Andalucia. Andalucia, which is quite known for its huge coastline and beaches, has earned a good name in water sports. There are a huge number of activities which can be enjoyed out here in Andalucia such as boating and yachting, kite surfing, fishing, canoeing and rowing, surfing, whale and dolphin watching and a lot more.

Boating and Yachting

Andalucia is a province of working fisherman whose border is fully shored with warm water. The foreigners who come here at a great rate have given a big boost to boating and yachting. Not only is the activity so great but the craftsmanship is a big deal in itself. The Marbella’s Puerto banus is the hub for expensive and exotic motor vessels. Many other marinas are largely favoured by people who own yachts, and there also other people who are into making smaller sport boats. Buying a boat is an expensive deal as these boats cost a lot of money. Not everyone can afford such kind of money, therefore, the best thing to do is to rent or hire a boat.

Fishing

Andalucia is quite popular for fishing and that too specifically for salt water fishing. However, for fishing, a maritime license for recreational fishing is required if you want to fish just from the shore or in a boat nearby the coast. But the best part of this license is that that it can be used in other parts of Spain also. One of the major attractions for those who specifically come to Andalucia for fishing is Swordfish fishing.

Tunny fishing is also quite famous in the open seas of Andalucia. The special part of tunny fishing is that that it comes very close to the surface during summers that it becomes visible. Popular tunny fishing grounds are located at Cadiz, Barbate, Conil and Huelva.

Whale and Dolphin Watching

The coast of Andalucia is also very famous for other reasons apart from boating, surfing, fishing, canoeing etc. The coast out there is the home to a huge population of dolphins and whales. Many companies offer various points for watching these beautiful mammals. Malaga, Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz, Cadiz and some in ports in Huelva are exceptionally famous for whale and dolphin watching. In Andalucia, boating trips are also arranged for the tourists. This is what makes Andalucia the perfect place for water related activities.
