The city of Grenada is a romantic destination located near the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains. This city will provide a wonderful base for those wanting a holiday in the mountains. The city is located about nine miles from an international airport and it well connected to the surrounding area by both rail and road.

You can find your way from these streets to the Plaza de San Nicolas. This will give incredible views of the nearby mountains. This plaza is a popular place with locals and tourists alike and is often the site of many concerts. In Grenada city it is also worth visiting the Museo Parque de las Ciencias and the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria.
With its stunning tropical coastline there are many water based activities. These can include diving and sailing. For players of golf there are many options very close to the city. The Club de Golf Granada has an 18 hole course that is also set in beautifully landscaped gardens and surrounded by the majestic mountain ranges. The city has a wide selection of restaurants and visitors to the city will be sure to find something to their tastes. There are cuisines ranging from European to Andalusian to Iberian.
Visitors should be sure to check out the Altiplano de Granada. This is a plateau up in the mountains that has many cave dwellings. The Zaidin district in the city has an enormous market on Saturday and is well worth a tourist’s time to explore some locally produced items. Granada is a destination that has a great reputation as somewhere not to be missed if you are in the market for a mountain holiday.
