One of the best things in life which has happened to man is food. Man has evolved so much when it comes to cooking and serving. Spain is already popular for its exotic cuisines because it has to serve around a million of tourists every year. However, among all the cities Madrid has something very special of its own and that is food. The city which is known as Madrid is a point where the best of the cuisines of the peninsula meet. People say that whether the cuisine in Madrid is actually it’s own or it has come from somewhere else? It is true that Spain has got a lot from the Galician’s, Andalusian’s and the Asturians when it comes to gastronomy, but there are a quite a good number of recipes and dishes in Spain which can be called as typical dishes from Madrid. The whole discussion would go in vain if the famous Cocido Madrileno is not talked about. This dish consists of stew which compromises of chickpeas and vegetables which include carrots, cabbage, potatoes, turnips and celery. This dish also has pork, chicken and beef which are transformed into the most succulent meal.

Tripe which is popularly known as Callos is also a typical Madrid dish and it can be easily found in the local restaurants in Madrid as it is a local cuisine. However, before every meal one must have an appetizer and for that purpose there is Sopa de Ajo which is a garlic soup originally. Caracoles which are actually snails are also a savoured a lot in Madrid. This is not it the potato omelette which is specialty in Madrid is known as Tortilla de Patatas and is one of the most common dishes in Madrid.

The people of Madrid are also famous for their sweet tooth and that can be clearly made out from there desserts. Torrijas is one of the most famous sweet dishes amongst the people of Madrid, it is dipped in sweet sauce and actually it is kind of a modified French toast. Then there are Barquillos, Mazapan and Rosquillas de anis.
