The ideal Summer destination is Benidorm, if you are anywhere from eighteen to thirty. Benidorm, mainland Spain’s party centre, is situated forty-five minutes by car from the airport in Alicante, on the Northern Costa Blanca.
Depending on what kind of time you want to spend, you will either like Benidorm or Calpe and Altea. Benidorm is the perfect place to party all night long and sleep on the beach all day. For a quieter time, you would be better off in Altea or Calpe, the former more expensive.
Throughout the town are affordable restaurants, apartments, hotels, and clubs. So you are sure to have a great time on a fantastic budget. There are plenty of places to find traditional English cuisine, such as chips, roasts, and pies.
In addition to the Benidorm Palace, there are many unforgettable places to visit in Benidorm, among which are Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Terra Natura, and Mundomar. However, for a show and a classy dinner, make reservations at the palace. The kitchen opens at 9 in the evening and shows begin as early as 10:30. The nights for shows are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and the weekends year-round.
As far as clubs are concerned, Benidorm is as good as Izba, but better priced. They also have their share of foam parties. You can count on wild parties at any of the best clubs in Benidorm during the Summer, featuring world class DJ’s. Nearly all of the clubs are the same not-so-far distance from the hotels and apartments, along the Avenida Communitat Valencia.
Most of the main clubs may run from fifteen to thirty Euros, but you will get a free t-shirt and a drink, usually. Look for these popular places: Penelope, KM Dance Club, Hippodrome nightclub, and El Divino. As for pubs, check out Lineker’s Bar, The Scotsman Pub, The Harp Bar, Shamrock Bar, Loch Ness Pub, KM Playa, Rockafellas, and Churchills Pub. Free shows are a perk throughout the year. Get a kick out of comedians, singers who impersonate, and more. Benidorm is well known for Sticky Vicky.
The typical routine is to visit a pub, midnight dancing at the nightclubs till early morning, topped off with breakfast. Don’t forget the beach. You’ll even see the residuals of a stag or hen night, since Benidorm is a popular location for these. Strangely dressed individuals celebrating their last nights of freedom are not unusual in Benidorm.
