There are three Catholic churches: Santo Domingo de Guzman (in Benalmadena Pueblo), Immaculate Conception (in Arroyo de la Miel) and Our Lady of Mount Caramel (in Benalmadena Costa) and a Protestant church.

The Stupa of Enlightenment is the largest in the Western world. This Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment opened in 2003, and is a project of the great Buddhist teacher Lopon Rinpoche Tsechu. The stupa represents peace, prosperity and harmony, and is also a place of meditation.

It’s golden dome and its privileged location in the mountains makes visible from the coast of the municipality. Close to the fairground and the Parque de La Paloma is a Hindu temple, easily distinguishable by its spectacular architecture. There is a small local mosque as authorized for use by members of the Islamic community and a Muslim cemetery.
